HELP SAVE IYANOLA St. Lucia`s pride & joy

Updated: May 20, 2018

St.Lucia was known to the Arawak inhabitants as IYANOLA - the land of the iguana.

St. Lucia iguanas are a unique and very rare population, quite distinct from any other green iguana and are dangerously low in number.

These magnificent reptiles can grow up to six feet in lenght and are now confined to the islands north-east coastal areas due to hunting and habitat destruction.

WE CAN ALL PLAY OUR PART!

Let us save Iyanola by :

*protecting the habitat for Iyanola.

*Not allowing the untied dogs to roam the beaches in Grande Anse and Louvette.

*Discouraging others of capturing iguanas and eating them.
